Izuba means “sun” in Kirundi, located in the Kabarore Commune, of Kayanza Province the Izuba washing station is set close to a nearby river, providing a necessary  fresh water source for producing their washed coffees. After processing, the remaining coffee pulp is turned into a natural fertiliser for the local farmers to add nutrients to their soil. Elevation 1500-1700 MASL.

Importers raw material has relied on the work of local partners in Burundi and together they work towards distributing profits more fairly to producers. This season, Izuba employees were paid 25% higher than local stations; 33% more than the national average

100% of the profit they generate goes to producers, directly through payments for coffee and through community-level investments.
