COLOMBIAN | VILLAMARIA | SINGLE ORIGIN COFFEE BEANS | WASHED

from £9.00

This is a declious specialty coffee which is gives a sweet, clean cup of caramel tasting coffee with low acidity.

I was crazy lucky to visit the beautiful, family run Finca La Aurora, on a trip to Caldas region of Colombia last year. It is a central hub for many coffee small producers who deliver the cherry on the day of harvest to be sorted. Then onto Villamaría's processing station 'Jamaica' chosen for its perfect climate and altitude. The coffee beans are floated and sorted at either La Aurora and Jamaica before being pulped and fermented for an average of 24 hours. They are then dried on raised beds, which helps to maintain even airflow and optimal drying time. This step is crucial to ensure the desired coffee flavour, and the process is closely monitored to ensure the highest quality

The local communities have been positively affected by the existence of the Jamaica station and we are delighted to be supporting this initiative by buying this coffee through rawmaterial.coffee as a 'Maximum Impact' coffee where 100% of their profits go direct to the farmers and producers. This coffee is grown at an elevation of 1800 MASL.

HOST coffee medium-roast this specialty coffee to bring out the best tastes and it is a wonderful way to start the day. Available as a coffee subscription. 6 MONTH COFFEE SUBSCRIPTION
